UNITED NATIONS OPERATION IN IVORY COAST

As per the UN mandate Bangladesh has deployed about 3000 soldiers in the peace keeping mission in Ivory Coast. BAF has deployed 17 personnel in the Military Police Platoon in Ivory Coast including 02 officers. In the Force HQ, Bangladesh has raised Military police unit to look after the reception of FHQ, Traffic, operation room of military police and special investigation. It may be mentioned that in the special investigation, most of the BAF soldiers were deployed because of their English language skill. BAF personnel worked very hard for registration, accommodation, providing security and escort at different places and earned good name for BAF.
